After setting up and managing so many campaigns we like to think that we have learnt quite a bit on PPC and we are quite happy to pass on our knowledge so you implement some of these tips into your campaigns and see the benefit. 1. When writing your Adverts include calls to action (e.g. Visit Now, Call Now, Book Now etc....).
2. Capitalise the first letter of each word in your advert and the display URL (stands out more!).
3. Include the search query in the ad - increases click through rate (CTR).
4. Use conversion tracking to monitor the performance of the keyword (can be set up in Adwords).
5. Don't send all the users to the homepage - send them to specific landing pages.
6. Split test different landing pages to see which converts better (use Google Optimiser for this).
7. Write two different ads for each group and rotate to see which performs better.
8. Remember there are other search engines than Google, use Yahoo and MSN as well.
9. Use Google Analytics to find more keywords for your campaign.
10. Consider PPC ads on Facebook (specific to cities, interests etc...)
